Hotel costs in both Spartanburg and Charolotte are about the same as anywhere else, Charlotte might tend to be a shade higher in general, if that happens to be a race weekend or a Panthers home game weekend, could be significantly higher. Check and reserve ASAP to get the best rates. You can always cancel later if you cant get the time off. My brother hooks me up with the employee rate for the hotel chain he works for, so both nights in both cities I'm getting a room that normally goes for $110 a night for just $30. Yay for my bro. Alas I cannot broker that for anyone else. And anyone that wishes to avail themselves of that amenity needs to be a cute female willing to share a king size bed with me. Since you can't, be sure to let any cute females you know they might could get a real deal on a room. Anyway, to assist and be on staff you need to be at the venue in time for set up. That's likely no big deal for Friday night, since road shows have minimal set up it's likely no one will even be there till about 7PM. The "big" show in Charlotte might be a whole diff ball of wax, that might require that we be there as early as 2 to 3 in the afternoon (I'll be sure to check on that for you). Spartanburg is about a 3 to 3.5 hour drive for you. From Spartanburg to Charlotte is about 90 minutes. If you work as my assistant you will need to be in some sort of costume.
